Patients who have chipped, cracked, stained, or gapped teeth may be able to correct a number of smile flaws in just one visit with cosmetic bonding. Using the tooth-colored, composite resin material typically used for fillings, our team is able to reshape worn teeth, fill in cracks and gaps, and conceal stains. Composite resin is a malleable material we shade precisely to match patients’ natural dental color and apply directly to the surface of teeth. Once we’ve shaped the composite resin into position, a curing light is used to harden the material into place. With proper care, cosmetic bonding can last up to ten years. For those patients with more extensive damage, traditional porcelain veneers or DURAthin veneers may be a better solution. Contact Dr. Merrill A. Grant to find out more today!
